Protect your vehicle's manufacturers warranty

Many people believe that you have to take your car to a dealership for repairs or servicing if you want to maintain your vehicle's warranty. However, this is not true. Your vehicle's manufacturer can only insist on the type of parts used to repair or maintain your car, not where the work is carried out.

At St Mary's Garage we only fit Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. OEM components match the quality of the parts that came with your vehicle when it rolled off the assembly line. So whatever the make and model of your vehicle you can save money by bringing it here without the worry of invalidating your manufacturer's warranty.

So what is the difference between OEM and genuine car parts, apart from the price?

In many cases OEM parts are made by the same manufacturer as the genuine part you'd receive from the dealership. Car manufacturers will use specialist companies to design and make the parts for their vehicles. These specialist companies will also sell these parts to other wholesale distributors for resale. They will be branded with the manufacturer's brand rather than the car makers but will be of the same quality.

So if you have a new car and need to maintain its warranty it's vital to find a reputable independent garage, unless you are happy paying the higher costs charged by your local dealership.

You can bring all your vehicles along to St Mary's Garage safe in the knowledge that all the work we carry out will be using OEM parts. It's that easy. It's a great way to save money without having to compromise on quality.
